Overview:
This year in math class, students will be immersed in mathematical practices geared toward applying techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems. To do this, students will engage in whole class instruction, small group work, individualized work, projects, websites, and stations.

Assessments:
Students will begin each chapter with a pretest and end each chapter with a post-test to show how much they grew throughout the chapter. There are also smaller quizzes embedded within the chapter to monitor student progress. Students will also be required to keep a math notebook where all information that is given to them is kept. Each Friday, students will have a short notebook quiz, and the answers will come straight out of the information that was given to them to keep in their notebook.
