This past summer, my family celebrated several milestones for Nathan, Ellie, and Eli. All three celebrated birthdays with Nathan turning 3 and the twins turning 1. The twins began walking over the summer, and Nathan prepared to start Pre-K. We also spent a lot of time outdoors playing in the sun and the sand. We took several mini-trips to places around the area including the St. Louis Zoo and The Magic House. We ended the summer with an epic vacation to the east coast visiting several points of interest including Gettysburg, New York City, Boston, and Niagara Falls.

Teaching:
After graduating from McKendree University, I became a middle school teacher in 2003. I previously taught science (my favorite subject) for 3 years at Steward Elementary School in Steward, Illinois, and for 9 years at Confluence Academy in St. Louis, Missouri. This will be my fourth year teaching sixth grade math, literature, and social studies at Lebanon Jr. High School...GO GREYHOUNDS!

Sports: All throughout my schooling, I played sports (basketball, volleyball, softball, track), and I am still a huge fan of many sports today. I hope to become a coach once again because I love sharing and growing athletic skills with my students. Even though I participated in basketball, volleyball, and track, my passion was softball. After college, I was fortunate to play on team USA Athletes International in Darwin, Australia, for two weeks. Today, my favorite sport to watch is football...GO PACKERS! |
Family:
My family consists of my husband, Jesse, my two sons, Nathan and Elijah, my daughter, Eliana, and my beta fish, Blue Fish. Jesse and I have been married for 12 years, and met while we were teaching at Steward Elementary School. Nathan just turned 3 during the summer, and he will start in Pre-K this year. The twins turned 1 in May and they are up walking and talking now...GO FAMILY!
